Those Who Guard Their Lips Preserve Their Lives, But Those Who Speak Rashly Will Come To Ruin.
Borderline Personality Disorder:
When we are in a fit of emotion we can say and do things that we know is going to hurt or anger another. When we are in it we can’t stop it. It just has to be played out until the emotion has run its course.
It’s like self destruction and everyone around gets sucked into it. We know we are the cause of the destruction and we are helpless at the time to stop it.
Later on, when we have had time to cool down and see what we have done, we feel regret, guilt and shame. We try to apologize for it and try to explain what happened. But the damage is done.
Relationships ruined, property damaged. What else can we do to make it up to the others that got hurt? Can we learn to guard our lips to not hurt others? We need to temper our emotions so that we won’t do it again.
So then what? Apologize and learn from our mistakes so we don’t feel regret, guilt and shame for another meltdown. We need to remember what we do affects those around us. When we learn to temper down what we do and say then our lives our saved. I hope this makes sense.
